NEW REPORT: Dave Reichert Tells Supporters, “We Can Make America Great Again”

Seattle, WA — Dave Reichert has once again reaffirmed his loyalty to Donald Trump and his MAGA agenda. According to Seattle Times columnist Danny Westneat, Reichert told his supporters at a recent campaign event that “there are ‘groups like us meeting, and hearing a message that needs to be delivered. With some encouragement to people that we can…make America great again!’” Per Westneat, “Reichert looked relieved to have said Trump’s campaign slogan out loud.”
This latest news comes as Reichert has repeatedly lied to voters about his strong support for Trump, falsely claiming he doesn’t support the convicted felon, even though he was caught behind closed doors earlier this year saying he’ll vote for him this election and “love[s] Donald Trump’s policies.” Reichert has even acknowledged his support for Trump is a liability, stating that if the public found out, it “would be a ‘nail in the coffin’ for his candidacy.”
Reichert’s support for Trump should come as no surprise. In Congress, he voted 92% of the time with the disgraced former president, including for a nationwide abortion ban that would have criminalized doctors and against exceptions for the mother’s health. Reichert also voted repeatedly to repeal, defund, or weaken the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and co-sponsored the Trump Tax Scam, which gave wealthy families and big corporations a major tax break, leaving working families to pay the price. According to experts, this increased incentives for companies to move jobs overseas and raised health care premiums by hundreds of dollars.
“Dave Reichert will stop at nothing to implement Trump’s radical MAGA agenda, but don’t take it from us – look at what he says behind closed doors when he thinks no one but his far-right base is listening,” said Shasti Conrad, chair of the WA State Democrats. “With Reichert on the ballot, our rights and freedoms are on the line. This election, voters must do everything in our power to stop him.”
