8.30.24 Message from the Chair

Working for Washington

We are back from Chicago – and while we were there we made sure the world noticed us! The enthusiasm and excitement was beyond infectious!

Truly one of the best week’s for our national Democratic party and for the WA State Dems! It was such an honor to nominate Vice President Kamala Harris to be our presidential candidate and to celebrate so many of our Democratic party heroes, like President Biden, President Obama, Former First Lady Michelle Obama, Secretary Clinton, Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, and so much more!

We were the talk of the town with our flashing hats! Please see below some of our amazing press hits!

August Primary Still Going!

All of our races were certified this past week, but we did land in one of the tightest primary races in WA history! Dave Upthegrove running for Public Lands Commissioner ended up being 51 votes ahead of Sue Pedersen for the second place in the top 2 primary. We are currently in a hand recount that we hope to resolve in the next week!

We hope everyone has a wonderful labor day, great start back to school, and we’ll see you in September, where we all will be in the sprint to election day!
