10.18.24 Message from the Chair

Working for Washington

18 days until Election Day!

Last weekend, I was overjoyed to participate in the Clallam County Democrats Roosevelt Lunch. Clallam County is the last bellwether county in the country, having voted for the winning Presidential candidate in every election since 1980! That’s why it is so crucially important that we win this county for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz!

Throughout the state, Washington Democrats are turning out to canvass, phonebank, rally, plan, organize, and WIN! The 5th LD is home to some of the tightest races of this cycle, so it was great to have AG (and our future Governor) Bob Ferguson and U.S. Rep. Kim Schrier rallying volunteers to knock doors for Bill Ramos, Lisa Callan, and Victoria Hunt this past weekend.

In Mason County, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, OSPI Chris Reykdal, Public Lands Commissioner Candidate Dave Upthegrove, and AG Candidate Nick Brown participated in the Mason County Democrats Picnic in the Park. Mason County Democrats must have some terrific bakers in their ranks, their bake sale raised $1700!!

The 26th LD Democrats turned passion into action for Adison Richards, Tiffany Mitchell, and Ryan Melo this past weekend. In every race, in every place, Washington Democrats are connecting with their communities to educate voters and ensure they get their ballots in. Get Out the Vote (GOTV) officially starts TODAY!

This week, our Coordinated Caucus surpassed two HUGE milestones: 112,000 door knocks and 593,000 dials! Folks are getting off the pollercoaster and doing something. Find out how you can help push us over our voter contact goals at the end of this newsletter.

As Florida and North Carolina recover from the devastation of Hurricane Milton and Helene, we must come together as a country and support our neighbors in the Southeast who are hurting. Please consider donating or getting involved with these charities.
