Working for Washington
25 days until Election Day!
On Monday night, I had the honor of joining several of our elected leaders in welcoming Governor (and our future Vice President) Tim Walz to Seattle. While his visit was very short, I was honored to share with him all the hard work we are doing to ensure all 12 of Washington’s Electoral Votes will be cast for the Harris-Walz ticket. He also wanted to make sure we were going to bring home victory for our next Governor, Bob Ferguson! He was as kind and hopeful as he appears to be! I loved welcoming him to our beautiful state!
Last weekend, I was in Tacoma for Pierce County Democrats’ Keep Pierce County Blue event. It was a tremendous success with statewide officials and Congressional candidate Emily Randall firing up a crowd of passionate Democrats to go out and make history by electing the “queerest ballot in national history” right in our own Pierce County. We truly need to keep Pierce County Blue, so please sign up to canvass and make phone calls to help out! You can watch the video we made here or click the image above.
I was also up in Island County this week to cheer on and help build support for our three powerhouse legislative candidates. Reps. Clyde Shavers and Dave Paul are crucial members of our House Caucus and we must ensure we send them back to the legislature. Current Island County Commissioner Janet St. Clair is running for the State Senate in LD 10 and she has a terrific shot at helping us grow our Senate majority, turning this purple district bright blue!
On Wednesday, I had the honor of opening U.S. Representative Adam Smith’s annual “Taste of the 9th” with our gracious hosts at LiUNA Local 242. This was a tremendous opportunity for supporters to come together, demonstrate their enthusiasm for re-electing Rep. Smith and have a lot of terrific food from the 9th Congressional District. I want to thank Rep. Smith’s entire team, WSLC AFL-CIO President April Sims, and everyone who came out to make this event a roaring success!
This week, our Coordinated Caucus surpassed two HUGE milestones: 90,000 door knocks and 500,000 dials! None of this voter contact would be possible without our stalwart volunteers who have decided to get off the pollercoaster and do something. Find out how you can help push us over our voter contact goals below.
Hurricane Relief
As Florida recovers from the devastation of Hurricane Milton and Helene, we must come together as a country and support our neighbors in the Southeast who are hurting. Please consider donating or getting involved with these charities.
